Sloping blocks are part of life on the Central Coast, and a retaining wall is what keeps a yard usable. We build timber sleeper walls, concrete sleeper walls with steel posts, and composite sleeper walls, from low garden beds to long boundary walls.
If an old wall has leaned or fallen, we clear it out first and build the new one properly, with drainage and backfill behind it. Grant is licensed for structural landscaping in NSW.

Do I need council approval for a retaining wall?
Low retaining walls are often exempt development in NSW, but height, distance from the boundary and the slope all matter. Check with your council for anything higher or near a boundary.
Can you build the fence and the retaining wall together?
Yes. Plenty of jobs are both, and doing them together means the fence sits properly on the new wall.
